Citizens Advice is a national network of charities providing free, confidential and independent advice. They advise on a wide range of problems including benefits, work, debts and money, consumer, family, housing, law and courts, immigration, and health.
For information about these problems you can go to Citizens Advice’s comprehensive, constantly updated, national website www.citizensadvice.org.uk. There is also a national telephone advice line: 0800 144 8848 (9am to 5pm weekdays) and a webchat service.
Citizens Advice East Devon is part of the national network. It offers a local service which includes both advice and practical support, for example with benefits applications. They have an office in Exmouth but this is currently closed to clients because of covid. The website is www.citizensadviceeastdevon.org.
